My favorite music and genre itself gives me comfort. Like people who give you comfort just by being by your side through hard times.

You’re probably spending a lot of time by yourself these days. How are you enjoying your alone time?

I’m spending it happily. I’ve been watching Netflix, gaming, and also working on my music here and there.

This is your first time with . Our shoot meant more to us as we were able to introduce you to the world as “Celine Boy.” What do you think Celine’s charm is?

Celine has so many different charms. I first took interest in Celine for its uniqueness. I also feel Hedi Slimane’s values every time we have a conversation. I’ve been a personal fan of Slimane’s photography for a long time. It’s a pleasure to work with him as someone who loves his fashion as well.

Everyone was surprised that you appeared in 'Jinny's Kitchen', the sequel following 'Youns Kitchen' and 'Youns Stay'. You’re working hard in the kitchen as ‘Intern Kim.’ Is there a reason why you chose to go the hard way?

I enjoy watching variety shows. Appearing is one thing, but I always thought there must be people who are better than me, so I haven’t appeared much. I was able to decide to appear in because I had close friends. Friends who have appeared in the previous shows told me that they had fun. I felt excited when I turned the open sign on the first day of business.

Any new sides of yourself that you discovered while operating a restaurant with people and meeting customers?

I think my hands are pretty fast. I may be a little slow with my actions and words but, I’m very fast when doing the dishes.

You spoke very lesiurely during our shoot for YouTube content as well. It seems like you go at your own pace. Taking your time, thinking it over again, and overturning what you’ve already been working on. What’s the driving force behind your work?

I think it’s greed. I constantly spend time working on my music, giving up in the process, but I think I’ve also acknowledged the consequences behind it. If I like the melody, I don’t like the lyrics. I need some scolding (laughs). It’s difficult to finish a song that I truly like, but I’m constantly trying my best.

A photo that you’ve uploaded during your shoot in Mexico for revealed your friendship tattoo with BTS members. Does the tattoo have any power to it?

I forget the fact that I have a tattoo, and sometimes I’m surprised and say, “Oh, I have a tattoo!” I didn’t intend on revealing it but I feel fortunate that many people seem to understand and support the meaning of this friendship tattoo.

You’ve showed excellent athleticism in the recent episode of BTS’ own content,'Run, BTS!'. Was it fun to play Soft Fencing and Slippery Soccer with the members?

I’m not the best at sports but I think my condition was especially good that day. I wish the whole world would see us playing foot volleyball.

It’s not often to see Superstars playing around like that (laughs). I nod to the lyrics of ‘Yet To Come’ that says, ‘We’ve changed a lot, but we haven’t changed.’

I agree. Including me, all BTS members’ love for each other and ARMY is bigger than anything and that will never change.

BTS recently performed at a Korean Music Show last summer with ‘Yet To Come’ and ‘For Youth.’

I get emotional every time I think about it. We were able to hear ARMY cheering for us and it really made us happy.

What does the words ‘Innoncence’ and ‘Maturity’ mean to you?

‘Innoncence’ means the many experiences yet to come and ‘Maturity’ is something that comes from what you’ve already experienced. It’s hard to describe in words.

Your first solo ‘Stigma’ released in 2016 revealed your taste in Jazz. What is something that you do to try your best at the things you like?

You have to constantly try to do your best at what you like. Practice is also a must. You might like it less but just as there are people who give you comfort just by their existence, music and the genre itself comforts me. I still listen to ‘Stigma’ sometimes.. Not everyday though (laughs).

I still remember the trot master V singing ‘Shanghai Twist’ on 'Bangtan Gayo'. I’ve rewinded a couple of times while watching it on V Live because it was too funny. Are there any previous videos that you personally like to watch back?

It’s hard to choose just one. I really like shooting 'Run BTS!' content. It’s the only time that I don’t get nervous when filming variety content. I’m able to show my true self.

In the episode where each BTS member went to their meaningful place, you went to the Ilchi Art Hall while the other members went to the Olympic Stadium.

The place where we had our debut showcase was the most memorable for me. I think it symbolizes the beginning of us and it reminds me of our unforgettable moments.

You’ve been on so many stages. Do you still get nervous or excited?

I still get nervous seeing our fans up close. There’s quite a distance between the stage and the audience. So whenever I meet them up close, I get excited and nervous.

In addition to the narrative that people give to BTS’ music, when did you personally feel that you grew the most?

I was able to grow more after reading messages and letters from ARMY that contains their life stories. Stories about what they do, what makes them happy, what their struggling with, and etc. Their stories give me strength. I translate english letters too but the translator doesn’t listen to me sometimes (laughs).

Do you listen sensitively to other people’s emotions and stories due to your rich sensibiliites?

I have a lot of interest in people’s emotions. Rather than being sensitive, I try to pay attention and feel other people’s feelings carefully.

The moment when you felt people’s deep affection?

Definitely from ARMY. They write to me on Weverse almost daily and I constantly realize and feel their deep affection and love towards me.

You talk often about persona. How would you describe the persona you’ve put out during our shoot?

I try to match myself to the songs that’s on and the atmosphere of the set. So the songs that are played on the set are important to get my persona out.

I saw you dance a few times during the shoot so I’m guessing that our selection today was a good choice (laughs). Which moment gives you peace in mind?

Whenever I take naps. I’ve been taking a lot of naps when I don’t have any schedule. It’s the greatest happiness in my life.

If you could give yourself any compliments right now?

You were great during the shoot today(laughs)!

Silver and gray. They look similar but are different colors. If you could compare yourself to these two colors?

I like gray.
